Gather with your group. You’re free to pray to yourself as you walk, or you can stop at various points and have someone pray for something specific.
There are three prayer focus for this time: Neighborhoods, McPherson Community, and Revival. Each section has a portion of Scripture you can read, and then a list of possible points of prayer.

Prayer Walk Guide
PRAY FOR NEIGHBORHOODS
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” - Matthew 22:37-40
Sometimes it’s hard to know our neighbors. We have our own lives and our own struggles. We’re often distracted, and usually busy.
Let’s begin by focusing our prayers on our neighborhood.

- The houses and neighbors around us
- The lost and the hurting
- The broken and hopeless
- Opportunity to build relationships and them Jesus
- Opportunity to share the love of Jesus
- Opportunity to unleash new purpose in our neighbors

PRAY FOR MCPHERSON
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:16-20
Loving where you live begins in our neighborhoods, and then extends to our community. We need to be in prayer for the entire McPherson community. As we think about the McPherson community, ask God to direct your prayers.

- Those who are in city leadership
- Those who provide care and protection for those in our community
- Justice to roll like a mighty river
- The other churches who are serving and meeting needs in the community
- A sense of unity in the churches of the community
- Organizations who are serving the community

PRAY FOR REVIVAL
16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. - Ephesians 3:16-21
God sends us into our city with a message of hope. Ask God to empower you with boldness and creativity to “go” out to the lost, instead of waiting for them to come to you. Pray that you and all God’s people would be willing to go to anyone and everyone, not second-guessing who the Lord may be calling.

Pray for:
- Revival in McPherson
- The chains of sin and addiction to be broken
- Freedom to be found in Jesus
- Jesus to be made famous in our community
- The lost to be receptive to the life-changing gospel message of Jesus!
- Continued boldness to share Jesus in our offices, workplaces, classrooms, and community spaces
